This is where an artist becomes more than someone you admire for their talent. This is where they seem elevated to understanding things and working for things at a pretty special level. This pic is by Joachim Ladefoged and the article is by Scott Malcomson from the NY Times magazine. She’s built five schools in her country since 2004. This is an amazing story. We interviewed her in ñ mag back in 96. She was a soulful young girl. Very cool, very sweet. But this is a woman who is aware of her fame. Kudos. It’s HERE.
