The Autism Society of Miami-Dade are pleased to announce a special screening of Wretches & Jabberers a documentary film by Gerardine Wurzburg. Tracy Thresher and Larry Bissonnette are two Vermont men with autism who travel to Sri Lanka, Japan and Finland on a global quest to change attitudes about disability and intelligence. At each stop, they dissect public attitudes about autism and issue a challenge to reconsider competency. Lee Grossman, President and CEO of the Autism Society, called the film “a provocative mix of self-advocacy, personal narrative and travel adventure that highlights the important needs of adults with autism, a group completely unrepresented on the world stage.” APRIL 2nd, 2011 12:00 pm Wretches & Jabberers at AMC Sunset Place Theaters 5701 Sunset Drive, Miami Florida 33143 tickets on sale now at: www.amctheaters.com/wretchesandjabberers
