Crowns of Love kicked off the month of November at Auburndale with Disney’s new animated cartoon Big Hero 6. The children enjoyed hearing the story about the brilliant prodigy Hiro Hamada and his closest companion a robot named Baymax, read to them by Melissa Hernandez, Miss Carnaval Miami 2003. The students were given tickets to the Hero 6 movie premiere, kites, stickers and trading cards. A big Thank you to Disney for making this possible.
Meli Mel is involved with the charity Crowns of Love which focuses on children’s literacy. Kudos to Mel and all the past Miss Carnaval Miami Queens for remembering to give back to our community. Keep it up ladies.
