Check out Miami Now, generation ñ’s new podcast

This Thursday is #GiveMiamiDay and on this ep of Miami Now: a generation ñ podcast, we spoke to Javier Alberto Soto of The Miami Foundation about the role of charity and philanthropy in shaping and improving a city, the spirit of Miami’s very giving history – we debated the finer points of The Underline (he sold me on it) , easing Miami’s crushing traffic woes, the need for parks, and for initiatives in the suburbs and deeper Miami (not just downtown) – talked about growing up in working class in Miami, how a football game can unite a city – how social media brings us together (and drives us apart) and what we can do be a bit more united. Biking , Soccer, Public school and opportunity, (or barriers to it), this is a really engaging conversation with a friend of mine – who’s got our community’s best interests at heart and in mind.
