Ball & Chain Owner Zack Bush Writes Song Inspired By Sandra Bland

About two months ago friend of ñ (and friend of mine) @Zack Bush played me this great song inspired by the suicide of Sandra Bland while in police custody. It was a heartfelt, impassioned Anti-Racism anthem, the kind of thing Alicia Keys would sing – and … frankly it was every bit as good as something she’d sing. He kind of blew my mind. Zack is a guy who can run a successful nightclub, and shared some of his beautiful fiction writing with me – but then knocked me down with this gorgeous… there’s no other word for it… anthem. In the midst of all this stuff that seems to be tearing our country apart – it doesn’t seem like people even wanna heal. But…i’ll tell you – this gorgeous song will stay in your head till it’s time to heal. This is beautiful, delicate stuff. David Rolland at the Miami New Times has the story of this lush, timely, haunting song.
