Uruguayan filmmaker Federico Borgia is bringing his solo feature debut, Prince, to the 70th BFI London Film Festival for its world premiere this October.

The Uruguay–Argentina production stars Roberto Suárez, Maitina De Marco, and Esteban Bigliardi. Set in Punta del Este, it follows a household thrown into turmoil when a wealthy woman leaves her estate to her beloved Afghan hound, with her longtime companion appointed as the dog’s guardian.

The unusual inheritance becomes the starting point for a dark comedy about family, class, loneliness, and competing loyalties. Borgia previously co-directed Clever and The Champion of the World with Guillermo Madeiro.
