Playing Monkey D. Luffy has taken Mexican actor Iñaki Godoy to a global audience. In a new interview with Remezcla, the One Piece star shares the everyday comforts that help him stay connected to home while filming abroad.
Mexican food sent by his parents is part of that connection. Godoy also discusses his new partnership with Tabasco, which began after he posted about running out of the hot sauce while working in South Africa.
The company named him its brand ambassador and first Chief Hot Ideas Person. Beyond the playful partnership, Godoy says he would like to work behind the camera someday.
His conversation offers a more personal look at a young Mexican performer navigating international success while keeping room for familiar flavors, family and new creative ambitions.
