Good goin’ Hertzberg !! 🙂
Jonathan Hertzberg, the NYC based filmmaker who scored with the Fun CIty and Dirty Old New York videos , just created a short new piece for the NiteHawk film series (well, actually three short ones in a row),they ran with the 35mm screening of Night of the Juggler a few weeks ago but he just posted them online. It’s a brief ode to the great New York based character actors of the 70s (we spotted Joe Spinell and Cliff Gorman two of our faves) in the guise of a credits sequence to a TV show that doesn’t quite exist (but shoulda) – on his blog, Obscure One Sheet , he writes , ‘this clip is both ode to the consummate, often unheralded character players, as well as to the lost art of the television opening credit sequence. The music on the soundtrack is 3 different iterations of Billy Goldberg’s theme song from Harry O’. Good goin’ Hertzberg. This is why we heart the Big Apple.” target=”_blank”>Obscure One Sheet , he writes , ‘this clip is both ode to the consummate, often unheralded character players, as well as to the lost art of the television opening credit sequence.
