Watching your movies get Bootlegged is no fun and affects the bottom line of future projects bigtime as well as whatever backend profits folks hope to get. It only hurts those that made the film, as El Cantante director Leon Ichaso says in David Gonzalez’s Times story, “The police don’t bother them, so it’s great, except for me”.
