Spanish soccer star Alexia Putellas is starting a daring new chapter after leaving FC Barcelona, the club where she became one of the most accomplished players of her generation.

The two-time Ballon d’Or winner has joined London City Lionesses, an ambitious women-led project backed by Michele Kang. Putellas says the move offers an opportunity to build something new while helping women’s soccer grow as both a sport and a sustainable business.

Her story also reaches beyond the field. Putellas discusses equality, motherhood, injury recovery and honoring the women who played before professional opportunities existed.
