Diego Calva’s latest best-dressed recognition comes with a styling lesson: give color room to work. The Mexican actor’s periwinkle-blue Willy Chavarria suit and pale yellow shirt landed him both readers’ and critic’s honors in Catherine Kallon’s September 29 roundup for Red Carpet Fashion Awards.
The look came from an earlier appearance at the San Sebastián screening of Tenders Loving Care. Its relaxed trousers and long, double-breasted jacket offer plenty of inspiration for anyone looking beyond the standard black suit.
For Gen Ñ’s fashion crowd, the pairing puts an actor and a designer in the same spotlight—and makes a persuasive case for experimenting with proportion and unexpected color combinations.
